About

Guidelines and branded items that help teams across Wärtsilä apply the brand consistently, from banners and brochures to everyday merchandise.

Goal

Make it easy for any team or partner to produce on-brand material in print, digital, and physical formats on their own.

Role

Author of the digital guidelines, co-author of the print guidelines, designer of branded templates and promotional merchandise.

Deliverables

Digital guidelines · Print guidelines · Templates · Merchandise design

The work

One brand, applied everywhere.

Clear rules and ready-made templates so teams and partners worldwide can create on-brand material without waiting for the brand team, plus branded items that carry the identity into all our communication and promotional items.

01 · Merchandise

The brand, in promotional items

I designed and managed Wärtsilä’s branded merchandise range: a “New to the Wärtsilä crew” baby bodysuit with my illustration, a PopGrip and its packaging card built on the Omnigrid lines, and a canvas tote bag in the brand colours, working with suppliers from design to approved sample.

02 · Digital guidelines

Rules for every screen

I wrote and produced the Brand Hub guidelines for digital material: email banners, Microsoft Teams backgrounds, quote cards, online marketing banners, paid social ads, and email and newsletter design. Each covers sizes, layout, typography and imagery, with downloadable templates and examples of correct and incorrect use.

03 · Print guidelines

From posters to white papers

Together with a fellow Brand Specialist, I co-wrote the print guidelines for posters and advertisements, roll-ups, brochures, leaflets and white papers, defining layout, logo placement, typography and image use, with Adobe and Canva templates to match.

Impact

Teams create on-brand work on their own.

The guidelines and templates in the Brand Hub let marketing teams, regional communicators and agencies produce consistent print and digital material without starting from scratch, while the merchandise range turns the brand’s visual language into things people keep and use every day.
